Judge me as you will but for some reason this dark little heart was drawn to shades of blush-pink and peach last spring and summer and I was on the hunt for baubles from another era (to be more specific camphor glass jewellery) for an upcoming wedding (sigh, yes I came out of the shadows and attended a wedding; I know right? *hiss* haha). One late night search and I found myself at the door of BoxerLovingLady/SweetVirgil'sVintage (same shop owner) and coveting these etched glass earrings dating back to the 1920s. These were my impressions of this little colourful detour of style. My gorgeous antique earrings arrived ahead of time for the event which was a spot of luck because after promptly opening the parcel an earring fell to the floor and cracked (YES, they are real glass and extremely fragile in that way). I messaged the owner in the hopes I could purchase a new earring in time for the wedding the following week and I was elated that she offered to replace it for free so stellar customer service. When it comes to the design, these blush-pink earrings catch the sun, dance along the neckline and I received several compliments on them that afternoon and since then. They have become a go-to pair of delicate jewellery when I want to step out with just a touch more vintage flair and yes, they go with everything even my tried and true black and dark purple and greens that dominates my wardrobe. They look right at home on my vanity table and I'm officially a collector of camphor glass trinkets now. I would say this detour was amusing and I'm quite content at the end of the night. Highly recommend a look. BoxerLovingLady and SweetVirgil'sVintage |
