A short introduction...
Welcome,
In this humble blog you will find some ramblings (many shades of purple and gold) and simple thoughts of a fellow reader of History who years ago started turning the pages of Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights and The House of Mirth and hasn't stopped looking for similar books of interest to enjoy since then or plans to end my pursuit of collecting all that glitters about bygone eras or noteworthy trivia to share. I have many facets of topics (not just the above classics) to be found throughout As The Final Page Turns that may surprise but I also hopes kindles some hidden curiosity to learn something new and to pass it along and not to forget what has been a part of someone else's story.
Happy Reading!
-Elspeth G. Perkin
P.S. You will also see I have a few of my favorite things that remind me of the lost past listed as well as "aging" (and some items shining eerily) between the books. Depending on what takes me momentarily or grabs my imagination for an educational distraction, I add to my library of personal opinions and musings as I come across them, so feel free to stop back.

Full Disclosure about certain perfume oils, self care, tea etc. reviews: I also disclose with a distinct message at the top or bottom of fragrance, self-care or tea reviews if I received the item at a discount (or free of charge) for supplying my honest thoughts, these will be indicated with a special thank you to the scent artist at the end of the article. Please note these will be my honest thoughts on products, oils etc. and any discount or parcel kindly offered, does not (and will not) influence my final opinions.
*Also fragrance is a subjective mysterious thing, so your experience may greatly vary from my recorded thoughts. I strongly encourage you to please sample a perfume or item if possible before committing to a bottle.
*To answer those curious: No, I am not affiliated with any shop you see a review about on this page (so click away on the supplied links and I hope you find something just for you).
Another Personal Promise to Readers: You will never have to pay to browse reviews on this page nor be asked to "donate" or "support" anything for my page; ramblings are free.
About Photographs: Contrary to what many believe taking a quality picture is NOT easy or something everyone can do and IT IS an art form that takes time. I happily admit I don't possess any idea of what I am doing. There are real artists out there behind a lens who deserve our respect, please pay them well and listen to their suggestions as they know what they are doing.
A little about book ratings: They basically only make sense to me. A rating may appear low but that doesn't mean a lowly rated book is not worth reading. Please see Amazon or Goodreads for a more accepted rating platform with full descriptions. Everyone's thoughts of ratings are different and I created As The Final Page Turns as a more personal home for my reviews, final ratings and to have a little more decorated organization.
